Beauty is in the eye of the beholder:

The King has once again left his family behind and gone on a trip, this time to Maui, Hawaii. After Caleb and the Queen wished him safe journey and tons of turbulence, they went along to complete their daily tasks. Upset at not being able to bask in the Hawaiian sunshine, the Queen began to take some pictures of the growing Prince and what she found was clarity. Although King Heath is off golfing and soaking in the sun, he is missing out on all the cuteness his family has to offer. Heath may be tanning nicely but Jenn gets to laugh with her boy. On further inspection it seems Heath should be the one upset... Maybe this "clarity" will help the Queen get through the week a little easier...she sure hopes so.

Hey, it makes sense. I just wish it really made me feel better :(.

The Queens mother is very happy to see the Queen and the little Priince bonding so lovingly. The King is missing much. He'll be sorry..... lol

Don't worry, the lily-white King is likely to just get a bad sunburn.

Anonymous said...

Haha, Lily white, good one...

Hey, ya know what? This whole thing is crap! I would def. rather be there! Don't worry Queen, you missing Hawaii, will be made up to you, but please do not post anything else telling me what I am missing, because I know.

HANG IN THERE QUEENIE, YOUR DOING A GREAT JOB. AND SO IS THE KING! EVERYTHING WORKS OUT...YOU HAVE SPECIAL TIME WITH THE PRINCE AND THE KIND HAS SPECIAL TIME WITH THE...AND BY THE WAY THE QUEEN IS QUITE THE LOOKER ALSO...HOW COULD NOT HAVE SUCH A HANDSOME PRINCE?

Anonymous said...

hey most honored great aunt...what does the king have special time with?

Anonymous said...

aaawwww poor king...all those who feel bad for the king please stand up.
WHATEVER KING

Well, you could look at it this way... the King is spending time with HIS dad, who I am sure feels about HIS son - the King, the same way the King feels about HIS son, the Prince. Right? Anyone? Bueller?

I am willing to bet the entire eastern portion of the kingdom that the King would absolutely rather be at home at the castle with his most beloved Queen and Prince. Unfortunately, being away slaying dragons is something that can't be helped. Take it from one who knows -- all kings need support from their queens. And it is sweet and loving of the Queen to let the King spend time with his old dad...

More clarity. Would you rather have gone to Hawaii and left the King home with the Prince?

God always puts us where he wants us to be...:)

you guys are complete saps and i don't think i can take it. the fact of the matter is that golf is a choice and he chose to go. if i were him i would have gone too but to say he didn't have a choice, c'mon people.

I am not hurt or upset that he went i am just hurt and upset that I didn't go...but that is life.

all of you are too nice, it makes me sick.

Our work is done here.

The royal sister-in-law agrees with the Queen completely. Maybe you should throw vegetables against the side of your house. It has worked before.

For Alice: I am sure that the Queen would have liked to travel to Hawaii WITH the King. Sometimes it is nice to just be invited, whether you go or not.

Amen Sister!!!

If only all dragons could be slayed while wearing a grass skirt and juggling coconuts, the world would be a much nicer place!

Does God REALLY "always put us where we want to be"? Are we just pawns that He moves around at will or do we have a choice? If I decide to ditch my family and go to strip clubs and bars every night, is that because God wants me there, or because I made a (bad) choice? I respectfully submit that we are NOT always where God wants us to be.

Anonymous said...

free willy, you speak the truth...but i am always with you...remember that if you do feel like going to a strip club, pig!

Anonymous said...

So, why didn't you go?

Anonymous said...

apparantly i am too expensive a person...that's right, little 'ol me would have broken our bank and made us live in the street.

Connie said...

God puts you (or maybe allows you to be) where you need to be, really. Maybe not always where He wants you to be, but believe me, you'll learn what lessons He has for you - if you are interested (and paying attention).
End of sermon. :)

Specifically onions. The Queen has heard the tale. But, she has a long way to go before onions are necessary!

Anonymous said...

Just trying to remind the Queen that everyone is giving up something in this whole thing. Possibly a grass is greener kind of thing.

thedollymama said...

Tomatoes. Italy, after all.

Anonymous said...

Onions, in a big 10 pound bag. And I take full credit for being the King's first pitching mentor.

thedollymama said...

What??? It was tomatoes!

Anonymous said...

Sorry, Charlie. Onions. All over the side of the house. Ask the King --I bet it's imbedded in his memory!

thedollymama said...

If you are talking about King Heath, he was only 2 or 3 or so at the time. I was 12. How would HE remember so well?

Anonymous said...

I can attest to the fact it was onions! I could smell and hear them from next door!

Anonymous said...

Heath was 3 1/2 and you were in school...:)
The vegetables in question were carried in a large mesh sack. Tomatoes aren't kept in a sack.
Thanks for the support, Aunt Sherry. It was onions. But maybe you smelled and heard them from a few streets over, not next door...:)

Anonymous said...

Wow, Queen! A record number of comments! That should make the national scribe happy -- even though the original post has sort of been hijacked!

thedollymama said...

What does she know? She thinks she was living next door! ;)

Anonymous said...

Well, that's true.
Nevertheless -- onions.

Anonymous said...

Okay, please, for those of us who've been in the royal family for years but alas have not heard the story about the onions, what's it all about, Alfie?

thedollymama said...

You are all lunatics.

Anyway, the point being, vegetables were thrown! Exterior walls pummeled! Travel plans modified!

Anonymous said...

You will receive a full rundown tonight. Just ask one of the elder royals or they'll forget to tell you -- you know how our memories are.
Or perhaps one of the younger members of the royal family has the strength to type it for you. But, beware. Their memories of the event seem a bit, umm, different...

Anonymous said...

that was one of the funniest stories I have ever heard about Ghegis Con... watch out onions of america, she knows where you live!

Anonymous said...

It was onions...that's my story and I am sticking to it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anonymous said...

It was onions. I was young at the time, but something like that sticks with you...and when she told me to stand against the house with my hands against the side, i was like wow, she is mad! getting pelted with onions hurts people! that is probably why today i do not like them!

Anonymous said...

well, that's what you get for looking like your dad at that moment. Just think if Sean were home it might have been him. If Amy were home she might of helped with the pelting...thank you stars you were the only kid there. I think Amy has a strong arm, I remember when she hit me with a tennis ball. Ouch!
Wow, looks like your family is very violent.

I like the Mancuso Family's volumes of wisdom. Makes us want to move to Fla and be neighbors. Both Heath and Jen are champions in our book. I hope that some day when I am older (not that you are old, Uncle Dave) that I get to go to Hawaii and play golf with my son. How cool is that? I am sure Heath missed you guys loads. you did the right thing Jen, by letting him go. It took alot of sacrifice, but in the end - you reap what you sow, and you will reap some goodies! He is and always has been a family guy. He will repay you and Caleb 100 fold, I have no doubts. So Jen, enjoy the few nights you have with no snoring and bed wetting by Heath! Heath - bring me something!

Whb Terry, you have a blog? I tried to go to it but it says it doesn't exsist. Are you messing with us?

I hear that from some people but I think they are just doing it up wrong. Let me have at Hawaii and we'll see if it is worthy of all the negative press.

Anonymous said...

Anonymous said...

the editor said...

Onions, tomatoes, throwing them at the house, snoring, bedwetting, bad plane rides, the list goes on and on! You can't get around the fact that this family is nuts!!! :) I'm glad i'm part of it!

The National Scribe said...
